Who We Are

House Of Bargad is an initiative to build a brand to promote the exclusive handmade handcrafted products by Indian artisans and craftsmen. Our aim is to encompass more categories of such dying art and craft of our country. The idea striked in 2021 on reading an article on how pandemic effected the already declined poor indian artisan too.

The Idea

I have created and been involved in such creations through out, be it painting writing etc. Though my reasons of participating in creative activities has been of fun, self conidence, DIY enthusiast to enhance skills and also there is a special connection that develops with the product you create. In Pandemic when every other was into small scale stratups be it recipes, Do’s and Dont’s, health advises etc I thought of why not to put out the creations of mine. There when I realised about the artists and craftsmen out there who engaged in craft production to earn a livelihood and are of much more calibre and creative, how suffocating would have been for them in this pandemic.

The Our Team

The name of the brand itself holds a meaning, a story, connection and memories. The adobe I reside was named ‘bargad’ by father, connecting with the character of the Banyan (bargad) tree which spreads indefinitely, when roots from branches descend. So the brand ‘House Of Bargad’ is one such descendent, already took root into the soil to become New Trunk.
